Friday – Farm Tour & Mushroom Workshop

January 6, at Elster Ranch & Fulcrum Farm
Visit two dynamic farm and ranch sites in Nevada County with a special focus on soil health and fertility. Visit Elster Ranch, where they raise cattle, pig, goat and sheep using holistic ranching techniques and Fulcrum Farm, masters of biodynamic compost. January 6, at Tumbling Creek Farm

Saturday – Keynote Speakers & Farm Expo
January 7, 8am – 5pm, at Nevada Union High School
Learn and get inspired by nationally recognized leaders in the sustainable food and farm movement: Elaine Ingham, Ben Hartman, and Greg Judy. January 8, 9am – 4pm, Nevada Union High School
Come for a full day of 20 workshops on a wide variety of food and farming subjects for the homesteader, farmer, rancher and gardener – there is something for everyone! Classes are taught by local experts, and topics range from beekeeping, carbon credits, grafting, agro-tourism, canning, internet marketing, cover cropping and more. Post Conference – The Farmers Guild Entrepreneurial Intensive
Monday & Tuesday, January 9 – 10, Grass Valley
