The Keynotes of Sustainable Farming & Workshops

Nevada County's Sustainable Food and Farm Conference will once again bring together a diverse panel of speakers, farming related businesses and organizations, for a weekend full of informative lectures, a food and farming exposition, plus numerous workshops for all levels of farming and ranching.

The Conference will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 18th and 19th. This year we will again hold The Keynotes of Sustainable Farming and Exposition at the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Hall. Our scheduled workshops, both Saturday and Sunday will be hosted by Grass Valley Charter School located next door to the Veterans Hall.

Tickets will be available for several segments of the weekend starting at $30.00, or as a complete package for the entire weekend for $100.

This year's Conference kicks off with a great workshop: Elaine Ingham will present an in-depth workshop on the Soil FoodWeb and it's application in your farm, garden or pasture. Details on this workshop will be coming soon to the EVENT DETAILS page.

Later Saturday morning we will open the Exposition at the Veteran's Hall where vendors and attendees can discuss the many facets of the local food and farming community – from suppliers to producers to cooks, who get all this great food on your plate, you'll be able to speak with experts in all these fields.

Our Keynotes of Sustainable Farming Lectures will start in the Veteran's Hall around 1:00PM and continue until 6:00PM. And this year's lineup is another great one!!!

This year's Keynotes are:

Wes Jackson: Founder of The Land Institute & Member of World Future Council
Elaine Ingham: Founder of Soil FoodWeb Inc. & Chief Scientist at The Rodale Institute
Amigo Bob Cantisano: President of Organic Ag Advisors & Nevada County farmer
